The piece is based on the idea of gravitational force hat each instrument imposes on one another. Piano and trombone, they both create their own gravitational spaces. And these spaces are always located on the fringes of the instruments’ ranges. Each instrument, then try to attract the other one to its own space through gravity.
The piece is not conceived as solo with piano accompaniment structure but each instrument is equal in terms of the influence that they impose on one another. They create these gravity wells, and the other instrument has only two choices: be pulled into it or resist.
